Sutherland Shire Psychology
Seeing a clinical psychologist for the first time can be anxiety provoking for many people.
Knowing this, Sutherland Shire Psychology aims to provide a relaxed and warm environment for its clients, so you feel comfortable enough to be able to express, in your own time, what you would like help with.
We create a collaborative atmosphere in sessions so that clients and therapist can work together to establish and maintain the best treatment approach, given the clients preferences and the therapists knowledge of what research has found to be most effective.

Your First Session
Your first session usually involves a thorough assessment of what has been happening with you.
Some background information is gathered and a detailed analysis of any problems collected.
At the end of this session the therapist will discuss different treatment options with you and will endeavour to provide some recommendations regarding expected treatment length and intensity (e.g. weekly, fortnightly etc.)
You will be invited to ask as many questions as you need so that you feel confident that you know where therapy is heading and when you should start to see some improvements.
